Planning is a way of making concrete our hopes and dreams for the future.

When we are concerned about what might happen for our sons and daughters and other relatives with disability in the future it is often hard to know how to move beyond our worry and fears.

A positive way of dealing with these concerns is to plan for the future that we and our family members want.

Planning can be an intentional, structured process that helps people set clear goals and actions to achieve these goals. It can also be a state of mind that influences our everyday thinking.

The booklet, “From dreams to reality – Ideas and strategies for planning”, includes ideas about where to start with planning, what a planning session might look like and how Pave the Way can assist families to plan. It also includes stories from families who have actively begun to plan for their sons and daughters in different ways. Click here to download this booklet.
